Older people as guarantors – Submission by the Centre for Elder Law to the NSW Law Reform Commission’s review of law and third party guarantees

Professor Carolyn Sappideen and Dr Juliet Cummins of the University of Western Sydney’s Centre for Elder Law received a small grant from the Law and Justice Foundation to prepare a submission to the NSW Law Reform Commission’s review of law and third party guarantees. The focus of the submission is an examination of the sufficiency of current legal protections for older Australians who provide lenders with guarantees for loans to third parties.
