NSW Disability Discrimination Legal Centre: Disability rights training in Broken Hill

A small grant from the Law and Justice Foundation recently enabled the Disability Discrimination Legal Centre to conduct disability rights awareness training in Broken Hill.

Almost fifty Broken Hill community service providers, people with disability, solicitors and city council workers attended the training sessions. The training covers such issues as commonwealth and state disability discrimination instruments, forms of disability discrimination, use of disability discrimination legislation, complaint processes and disability discrimination in employment.

The Foundation’s grant supported travel and accommodation costs associated with providing the training in Broken Hill.
