In 1994 Dr Diana Eades (formerly of the University of New England), now Department of English as a Second Language at the University of Hawaii received a grant from the Law and Justice Foundation to investigate the experiences of Indigenous witnesses in court. An article I don’t think it’s an answer to the question: silencing Aboriginal witnesses in court was published in the June 2000 edition of the international journal Language in Society (29).
