DIY law television documentary

A four part documentary series that is now screening on ABC TV DIY Law follows four real life courtroom dramas following unrepresented litigants through the Family Court, the Migration Review Tribunal, the Residential Tribunal and the Local Court.

The Law and Justice Foundation supported the development of the series in a variety of ways, including a small grant to producers Hilton Cordell to scope the project; research assistance; and financial support to cover the costs of filming requirements in the Family Court. With the series airing on ABC TV, the Foundation’s Sue Scott and Sarah Ellison have prepared legal information web pages for the ABC’s website.
